Our STS students pride themselves in taking on challenges of global proportions. Last year, this included taking part in the 2022 Asian Student Exchange Program (ASEP), organized by a committee from Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The competition took place on December 28th and 29th and featured partner schools from across Asia working in tandem with Taiwanese schools to research the topics of development and sustainability in light of the UN 17 development goals.
Our STS team, in collaboration with the Affiliated Senior High School of National Kaohsiung Normal University, investigated pollution due to tourism at Rak Thale Bangkhunthian Bridge. Prior to the event, they conducted interviews and put together a documentary that was well received by our partner school. The team consisted of grade 11 students Jay, PJ, Ping Ping, Praew and White, under the supervision of teachers Luis Simeon Pasang and Christopher Cayen-Cyr.
Together, both schools won a Gold Award at the competition for the excellence of the work presented to their peers. We were happy to present them today with the awards they have rightfully earned. They received their certificates from the hands of our esteemed director, Dr Kwantip Chinsettawong. Congratulations to all participants!
