SISTER SCHOOLS

Sister Schools

STS sister school partnership is a meaningful, reciprocal and sustainable long-term partnership between schools, aimed at fulfilling a range of purposes as determined by the school communities. Our Sister Schools bring together schools from all over the world. Teachers and Principals in our partnered Sister Schools have their classes participate in collaborative projects together.

Our sister schools participate in collaborative projects together so that students can work with and learn from fellow youth in their Sister City. These collaborative projects provide students with an understanding of international and cultural differences. Through these cultural exchanges, students not only gain a more global perspective on subjects but learn about their own community by sharing it with their Sister School. Interacting with their international peers allows students to become active citizen diplomats and ambassadors for their country. These interactions create a mutually beneficial relationship for all participants and rewarding experiences for our schools and students.

Our aims in sister school partnership are to

  • broadening students' perspectives

  • developing students' intercultural understanding

  • enhancing student language learning

  • contributing to a whole school program of internationalization building teacher capacity.
