On June 18, 2026, our school proudly partnered with the Confucius Institute at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University to host an immersive Dragon Boat Festival celebration. Designed to foster a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture, the event transformed traditional customs into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for our students.
Bringing Tradition to Life
Under the guidance of their teachers, students explored the rich history and cultural significance of the festival through a variety of interactive stations:
Culinary Arts: Crafting and wrapping traditional sticky rice dumplings (zongzi).
Ancient Games: Testing their focus and aim with the traditional game of pitch-pot.
Traditional Crafts: Weaving colorful lucky bracelets and exploring the delicate, ancient art of ink rubbing.
Cultural Knowledge: Putting their festival facts to the test in an exciting Dragon Boat Festival quiz.
Nurturing Globally Minded Learners
At STS, we believe the most impactful learning happens through active participation. By blending cultural education with interactive play, students were empowered to learn by doing, exploring, and creating. These activities successfully brought the festive spirit to life while inspiring curiosity, teamwork, and a profound respect for Chinese traditions.
Through vibrant cultural experiences like this, we continue our mission to nurture globally minded learners who value diversity and possess a deep understanding of global heritage. We look forward to creating many more opportunities for our students to experience the richness of culture beyond the classroom.
